When can does be taken during general gun on apalachicola and talquin?
October 9, 2012, QUESTION: When is it legal to take a doe on the Apalachicola WMA and Talquin WMA during general gun?
ANSWER: Hey, Rafael: Here is the short and not-so-sweet answer to your antlerless deer (doe) question. Unfortunately, for the 2012-2013 general gun season, doe may not be taken in the Apalachicola Wildlife Management Area nor the Talquin Wildlife Management area.
APALACHICOLA WMA GENERAL GUN SEASON:
November 22-25, 2012 and December 8, 2012 through January 30, 2013.
TALQUIN WMA GENERAL GUN SEASON:
November 23-25, 2012 and December 8-30, 2012. (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only).
It is legal, however, to take does during Archery Season in the Apalachicola WMA (October 20 through November 18, 2012) and the Talquin WMA (October 20 through November 18: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.)
