18 1/2 inch outside spread
18 & 1/2 inch deer mount
I killed this deer on 12-22-2012 at 9:00 AM while
hunting from a ladder stand overlooking a very deep
ravine (about 100 feet below me on a 45-degree angle).
The buck was walking from my left to my right and the
shot was taken from approximately 75 yards away. The
buck ran approximately 60 yards crossing one creek
before crashing into the middle of a second creek. It
took about an hour to drag him back up the ravine and
load him in the truck. He weighed 238 lbs and sported
an 18 1/2 inch outside spread. This is the first buck I
have ever killed.
This hog was killed during that same hunting trip and weighed 120 pounds. Both were killed in Bullock county Alabama on a private lease I belong to.
