Kids Fishing Derby

The Apalachicola National Forest will host its Fifth Annual Kids Fishing Derby from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Children ages 1 to 16 years old accompanied by an adult can participate in the free event, which will be held at Buttermilk Pond off State Road 12 in Liberty County, southwest of Forest Road 130. Bring a fishing rod; bait will be provided. A casting contest and lunch are included.
