Hunting lessons

March 26, 2011, QUESTION: Is there a club in northwest Florida that will actually take you from a-z to learn how to hunt. I have no knowlege of guns or any type of hunting experience but would like to learn.

ANSWER: I don't know of a club in northwest Florida that teaches hunting. But since you have no previous knowledge of firearms, I would say your best bet is to take a hunter safety course in person (not over the internet). This will enable you to familiarize yourself with multiple aspects of firearm safety, as well as provide you with an introduction to hunting. Perhaps in this environment, you not only will be learning, but you also may meet people that have the knowledge you seek or who can get you in contact with the appropriate people.

You will find information regarding hunter safety courses at this link on our website:

Good luck and welcome to the hunting life!
