JR Cantrell and the Hudson Crew

Hunting on public land in the Apalachicola National Forest has turned out to be a very good 2011-2012 hunting season for JR Cantrell and the Hudson crew from the Sopchoppy/Crawfordville, Florida, area.

In addition to the 14 total deer that JR harvested this season, he said that their crew took another 12. They do most of their hunting in Liberty County in the area of County Road 67 and Forest Highway 13.

The Apalachicola National Forest has many hunting campsites scattered throughout the area. The Cantrell/Hudson crew usually sets up camp in the nearby Whitehead Lake campground, which has ample room for them and their hunting dogs.
