Hunting Campsite at Cliff Lake

CLIFF LAKE CAMPSITE

Hunting for camping areas in the Apalachicola Wildlife Management Area can be a mystery if you don't quite know what you're looking for. Some camping areas are not identified and are just clearings in the forest. Cliff Lake is an exception because it is readily identified by its recently refurbished lake. To help you get an idea of what to look for, here are photos of the Cliff Lake campsite.

The campsite area at Cliff Lake is located off Forest Road 13 in Liberty County, Florida. This camp site is located in the Apalachicola National Forest, Wildlife Management Area. This is a primitive campsite; however, during hunting season portable toilet facilities are provided. Helispot #28 is located behind the bar-pit lake. This helicoptor base is used for life flight emergency rescue and/or forest fire management purposes.
