Has the rut started yet in Liberty County?

January 20, 2012, QUESTION: Has the rut started in Liberty county yet?

ANSWER: Being as Liberty County is in the Northwest portion of the State, due to the inconsistent weather patterns, I've only seen two deer that showed any sign of being in rut. So due to the seasonal patterns we are experiencing this year, it's probably unlikely that all the bucks will go nuts at the same time. But before the season ends, I hope to see at least one consistent week of increased rutting activity.

Good hunting!
