Brenda's Venison Chili

Venison Chili Ingredients
Even though Kenny and I live in sunny Florida, we do experience some cold weather from time to time. Whenever the temperature starts to drop, my taste buds always seem to favor a nice, warm bowl of chili. I have found that one of the best ways to cook some of the deer that Kenny harvests is in a delicious pot of pipping-hot venison chili. Here is a recipe that we like:
1 pound Venison Sausage
4 green onions w/green stems (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped)
1 can diced tomatoes
2 cans kidney bean (light or dark)
2 potatoes (chopped)
2 cups water (more or less)
1/4 teaspoon chili powder (depending on how spicy the sausage is, use more or less chili powder)
1/4 cup brown sugar
Brown sausage, then put in crock pot.
Add remaining ingredients and stir.
Cook on low heat 4-6 hours or until potatoes are tender.
I hope you enjoy this chili!
